seams like they never had fire engine numbers on the side of the early trucks?
No. 86 Dennis Tamini was Wingham's first truck in 1944 would there be any records where it ended up?

Hi Guys , My first post here. Hope I'm in order. My newly acquired MB LA911 (ex ADF) Fire Truck is certainly just that, but not quite old enough for "Historic" chat (at 34 years) and I don't intend to restore it, as it doesn't need it (can you believe that?
Hope I have been successful with my "maiden" post??
Regards, iank

86 ended up in a wreckers yard near Penrith in the mid 60s and was was badly damaged in a bush fire. The chassis was recovered and rebuilt as a charabanc bus. Not sure where it is now.
