I can't believe that this photo qualifies for the Historic Truck Chat section: it looks too modern.
I don't know what it is; the lettering is a bit faint; it could be Mack. Others may recognise the operator as well as the truck.

Looks like a Haulmark bell crank wide spread but it must be at least 10'.

That truck is a r700 and is owned by Noel Ross from the Alice

Wasn't there an optional spread on the mack bogies ...55" or something like that ... Meant to be smoother over the corrugated roads

The trailer looks to be a Fruehauf by the combing rail.
I wonder if it has the same air/mechanical adjustable spread as my trailer?
