I wouldn't bother with the CAI and go with the cut-out in the bottom.
Whilst you'll sacrifice some engine power due to the warmer intake air, is it enough to really matter?
I feel the extra ducting makes it too busy.
Obviously you're not going with blue ducting.

I have to agree that the CAI does overload the engine bay so I will ditch it.
I thought the blue ducting fits in nicely with the blue springs and blue windscreen washer cap :

Graham,
Take a look at a K&N Apollo filter pod. They are nice and small, and can fit in plenty of gaps, out of the way!!

A pod filter will fail Engineering and emissions.
The filter must be enclosed in a flame proof container.

jBran, Zuffen is spot on with what he says about failing licencing which is why I have had to go down this path.
The CAI won't be used and I have cut the slot in the base
I have kept the blue flexible duct ATM and fired up the donk and all is good
I am thinking that if I put a piece of SS bar across the air intake slot I might be able to mimic what the grill looks like?

Are there any experts here who can offer some advice on fitting the rear quarter windows?
I have fitted the rear window with no drama but the rear quarter windows are proving difficult. I have had new glass made and it is identical in size to the original but it seems too big. Not knowing what the correct rubber to use may be the problem; and all comments will be gratefully considered.
Rear window in (my apologies for the poor quality photo)
The problem child

Hi Graham .. really nice resto work you are doing, and we're all looking and admiring along the way
...try some soap on all surfaces, but mainly check first for a gap of about 1/4 inch all the way around between the glass and the flange.....

Hi Graham, firstly, what a great job on your ute mate.
I've got an AR 110 too, looks a little different to yours but I still enjoy it, LOL.
Anyway, I got the glass man to do the windscreens and back windows rubbers on it for me and he ended up cutting new glass out of laminate because unless you have the original rubbers the original glass won't fit, reason being the glass is bigger than the hole and sits behind the hole with the original rubbers. So unless you are using the original rubbers you may have to get the glass cut smaller.

I managed to get the drivers side rear quarter window in place after work today by sanding off the bottom lip from the window rubber to reduce the overall external size of the rubber
In this photo you can see where I sanded off the bottom edge of the rubber to make it a smaller fit inside the window recess
Drivers side rear quarter window in
Started on the passengers side window but need a helping hand to pop it the last bit of the way in. I have used powder to help reduce the rubber binding on the inside trim but I don't think it did a lot of good
