Hi,
The TRUCK is FANTASTIC,

I found this while searching for something else.
1951 Mannum - Adelaide pipeline construction, a large pipe on a semi, with an unidentifed prime mover.
www.flickr.com/photos/sawater/5986649931 .
This is in a set about the project, posted by the successor body, SA Water.
I interpret the door lettering as
SAWS Dept
No 73
Water Supply
SAWS would then be SA Water Supply.
Identified in a response as an International KS5.

Roderick, thanks for the great photos.
The International truck carrying the water pipe has a logo on the door which I think reads E&WS Dept (Engineering & Water Supply), I can't quite read the bottom segment of the graphics, are you able to confirm from your original if possible please.
If my memory serves me well, the State Govt E&WS livery on their trucks was "Shitty Brown" & Black guards for Water Supply works & "Dark Green" & black guards for Sewerage Supply Works. As always ISTBC.
thanks
Pierre (Adelaide)

Hi, further to my previous post , the bottom lettering I think referred to the section of the dept, where I lived that wording was Northern District and I remember seeing some trucks where it wa Construction, on that truck it appears to be two words , some one may know. cheers Dean
