I believe you are correct.. Also here in the states both GMC and Chevy went to the one piece windshield, on the left hand truck, in 1954. No idea on the models built in other countries??grandad wrote: Think the lh truck is a GMC, and the rh one a Chevrolet

That looks, to me anyway, like a very long cattle trailer. It is a single axle, as well.
Maybe if the Railways had got their act together and run a regular service, 16 hours Melbourne to Sydney (even though it was twice the time taken by road freight) they could have kept some of the freight business they lost when their normal service was five or seven days, plus a day or two queuing at freight depots at each end. :sick:
