Looks like a semaphore indicator behind the door opening.

Jarrod.

At Liquid Cartage in the 60s at Camelia a subby had a Jupiter that he fitted a half sleeper
box to the day cab. He repowered it with an 8v53 GM when the Deutz fell apart...
He drove 2 up with his driver (named Shaky for obvious reasons) who lived full time
in the truck....... It looked funny when he walked up to the truck and gave the sleeper a
whack and old shaky would wake up and bounce behind the wheel ready to roll
all in one movement...........

The drawing is a little bit rough but you should get the general idea.............
.......................Billy.......................

I CAME INTO THIS WORLD WITH NOTHING & STILL HAVE MOST OF IT.........................

I used to be a truck driver,
but i am now not a truck driver ,
on a good day i can remember
that i used to be a truck driver.

Thank you for the information Russell (Facebook)
"This truck was used to transport the royal mail and goods to and from the stations around Meekatharra. Note the extra cab which was used to carry passengers and for the extra driver to have a sleep. The truck was owned by D Campbell and Co Meekatharra (my grandparents) circa late 1920"
