Most of these sleeper cabs were designed for drivers under 3 stone in weight wringing wet and could double as a clothes line prop.

...Those that did were often considered a “death trap” because the cabin was located between the engine and the cab ?????....

I would question whether this is accurate, Im pretty sure almost all yanky trucks had intergrated type cabs long before 1953
They were all modified by the same company I reckon

Some if not all of these are
