sorry if there's been a post on this but I couldn't find anything, I'm looking for a brake down on the rear brakes as I can't figure out how to get them off. Sounds simple but this is mystifying me. Any help would be great cheers

Cobber I have no breakdown of the brake parts but can you explain what you can't figure out and how far you have progressed, have you removed the brake drum yet :)

If you are taking hydraulic cyl off the backing plate there is a threaded Rod that connects to bi sector on inside of backing plate
You will need a special tool to undo this rod

Those wedge & roller expanders were common to lot of pommy trucks of the era. The piston is either pulled by the hand brake rod or pushed by hydraulic and either way pulls on the wedge. From memory a screw in the side holds the piston captive, and then you have to unscrew the piston off the wedge pull rod(which you can't see).
