If there push in leads take them to Repco or Autobarn and just match them up off the rack, don't forget to take your coil lead as well

Oldgmc, the leads that are on it are solid core, I have been told that the truck won't run properly with the modern silicon type leads. Also on the dissy cap the leads have a screw in type, I will try putting a photo up

It was a term adopted as a selling point reflecting the excellent view from the cabin e.g. high up, tall roof, glass all around, like the "Pilot" of a ship.

S burns, from memory, (and mines no getting any better) the screw in leads are just a cap type fitting on the lead that holds in the conductor to the recess in the dissy cap.

I ran carbon type ones in my EJ way back when coz the copper ones mucked up the reception on the new Ferris radio. :woohoo:
It was originally fittid with copper core leads
Still went as good as ever
You can test the old leads for resistance with a multi meter

Thanks Scratcha!
Pardon my ignorance and lack of knowledge on the subject! When you say carbon leads are they the type you buy off the shelf at Repco etc. I put new off the shelf NGK spark plugs in truck ran ok for a while now wont start? I may have damaged the resistor in the distributor. Can I change all the old stuff to electronic distributor to eliminate the problems I a having sourcing the old stuff

yes mate, the ones off the rack will do it.
The condenser if it fails will give no spark.(resister), as far as the electronic conversion, im sure there will be on available.
Dont run premium fuel in the truck, it will carbon up the plugs.

Hi All,

Can anyone help me with the brakes on the dodge? there appears to be a key way that holds them on? do I need a puller to get them off, any help would be appreciated. They seem to work ok but thought I would check em before the rego inspection
