Kenworth C500's was created by Southbound
Southbound would like to bung up a cupla picks of 'The Camel' and start a thread on these great trucks
1981 C500 sold new to a logging company in Tas, second owner Wescombe Heavy Haulage, and now owned by BRC Piling. This truck is in original spec except the bunk has been removed. The Camel is Southbound's daily drive and I took her to Yarra Glen on Sunday.
Cheers Peter

Thanks for the replies.
Wedgetail, it's fitted with a Cat B motor.
MMPaul, Plenty of life left in it for sure, don't try this with a cheaper brand!
Swishy, I saw the tilt tray on Sunday, but not the driver. Did you grab a couple of hours across the seats? Nice pic of the early machines, thank you.
There was a kenworth brochure posted on here a couple of years ago with 2 C500's, one red, one yellow. I couldn't find it, be good if someone smarter than me could dig it out and post on here, thanks.

Had these on before.
Think it was 8V71T powered and would be from around 81/82, set up for Oilfield use

Swishy asked if SouthBound has a flash Western Star now? No, old mate steers the flash one, I do drive it when i have to, but prefer the Old Banger. Here's the trailer n excavator you saw but on 'The Camel'

Do any of the KW experts on here know the chassis number of the yellow C500?
