Subby had a UD V8 towing for Fridgmobile about 1977.
Quick but don't know how long it lasted.

With the picture of the mighty UD, I thought it was a bit of poetic license on the door saying "Express Brisbane to Darwin" then I noticed the twin stacks. GM perhaps?

No, They did make a V8 Motor . From memory very similar to the V903 but with(I think Nippon Denso) a injector Pump & Injectors..

don't mind...
And those that mind....
don't matter." -

There were also a couple running around with twin turbo v8, they had the cab set higher with an extra step to get in. Barry Caves Roadhouse had one on roadtrain work in the late 70s

Greetings. In November I mentioned a Cain's Diamond and looking back over the photos I see I failed to send it. Anyways. that's rectified now and I just can't help myself when selecting so I threw in another Cain's, and the Dean Atkinson and I'm pretty sure the Mcfies Kenworth is the 12V71 powered one- someone may correct me if I got it wrong. The Scania paint job looks like it was inspired by pavement pizza. More exciting history next week all going well as I had my first covid jab today.

Are the spiders on the steer of the Cab Over KW an older style?
Have some in other photos. Look quite slender compared with
later types.
Spread on that trailer looks to be 10 FT going on the tarp ropes.
Would take some pushing back into the old loading bays etc.
Thanks for the memories Overlander. Paul.

Greetings. Spoke with Nev today and he confirms that the McFies K-worth is the 12V71 powered one. Also asked of W1000 photos and he has a photo of a 4x2 LHD red number - I'll get that album next catch-up. Haven't gone into shut down mode yet so alls good.
