Overlander and PaulFH, Thank you very much for all the work you have put in to post all these pictures. This Yank is enjoying seeing so many of your Aussie trucks in their working clothes.. Ron Kirk has posted many over on the Just Old Trucks website in a topic "How it was", But these are much better.

It is great that Nev wrote the owners name on the photos. Being able to correctly identify the truck owner at the time the photo was taken is a bonus. R Richards lived at Windang NSW. Just south of Wollongong. His Kenworth was an ex Blue Circle Cement truck. Glen Aitken had a identical Kenworth on the coal but it was a different truck.

I noticed today just how small the chassis rails appear to me on this RoadBoss
I don’t know whether it’s the angle of the photo or they are really as small as they appear

Remember seeing them new at the Sandown truck shows years back.
They did look light but well designed with neat cross members.
They must have been right to stand up to the loads and roads.
Not to detract from other makers' designs. Just opinion, Paul.

Mrsmackpaul, Overlander dug out the White Spec sheets for us.
Seems the chassis rails are 9 inch, which looks right next to the tyres.

Spornes, put a whole new meaning to the word “overloaded.”
