Which means Brian Gus Gursansky would be in your memory banks too.

His blue chopped '36 Coupe was magic stuff, and a fast commuter. Lives on after several owners apparently.

Greetings. Nifty drove for Ken Denton after Les Goodwin. Sea change from doing only Adelaide - Melbourne - Adelaide for a few years.

The L S Booth Transtar posted on Oct 31st, can Overlander, or anyone, make out the rego number please? It looks to me like it starts with TIS 5xx.

If it is TIS 588 i know the truck, and my old mate who owned it after Booths and ran Melb-Perth with it for many years would be pleased to know if it is in fact his old truck. He just told me its Booth's fleet number was 588. Visually everything looks right, but he said the rego number is really the only thing he can definitely identify it by.

Thanks in advance, Brett.

That sleeper cab KW of MT's had pretty long legs on the East-West run.
Also had a slim line 141 Scania that used to give those 8 wheeler Batmobiles some hurry up on the Hume as well.

Brett I re-scanned the 4070 and then enlarged it but the rego plate does not become any clearer to define the letters & numbers. But bare with me- it's a work in progress and hopefully I'll get a result. Pete
