Thanks Pete, i really appreciate your trouble.

I only knew the truck from about 1981 or '82, when i started primary school with the then owner's son. I reckon i last saw it in august or september 1995, after it had gone to another owner.

I was very excited to see Nev's photo, having known the truck was ex Booth, and was originally a slimline cab extended by Colletto Bros, i am 99.9% sure it is the same truck.

It is that truck that began my soft spot for the 4070 Transtar, 40 years ago! I was EXTREMELY fortunate to get to drive its sister (also an extended slimline ex Booth) 18 months ago. I had waited patiently for that opportunity for 30 years. It was worth the wait.

Brett.

NMP Warwick Lewis's R Model Mack worked on the coal for LOD Co-Op. Warick's F model probably doing steel out of Pt Kembla when LOD Co-Op also held that contract in the early 70's.

I don't know what it actually denotes, but they have an SE9 badge on the side below the Road Commander badge (between the brown and blue stripes), and they have twin headlights, but i don't know what else. I have always been led to believe an SE9 was an up-market/flasher model, and i have wondered if it means special edition 1979, because the only other SE9 i have seen was a '79 model. There is a thread "new member old white" on the forum, about an SE9 that came from not too far from me.
Maybe the aerodyne roof was put on the truck pictured because it was a bit flasher model than standard???

Bit more info from an old forum thread says SE9 had a flash interior.
