Ken Harris regularly competed at the long gone Kembla Grange Speedway, south of Wollongong.
Ken also made a very nice looking hot rod about the same time.

In the colored photos the race car has a roof mounted air foil. I think that in the day these cars were called super modifieds.asw120 wrote: Old (now) speedway (?) car in the background...

Figtree Freighters R600 Mack that was wrecked on Clyde Mountain.
This Flintstone R600 Maxidyne was originally a Bell Bros truck from WA. Figtree Freighters was the next owner and then sold to Butch Jones which is when this photo was taken. Next owners were Grahame Davidson of Corrimal, WGE Unanderra and then sold and fitted with a concrete agitator bowl and worked from Dapto.
