Thanks for the old pic's Ozfury - see some great Aussie ingenuity in house moving game.
Wanted to ask if the red Inter was an R180, as it has spider wheels? Used to be not much
difference, non-synchro 5 speed and bit higher weight figures.
Stock carrier near Warrnambool 1966 had a Beddie like that, 16 ft. tray and dog trailer as
well. Lit up like Christmas. Got the job done. Great history, Paul.

After selling the housemoving gear, Wiley secured a contract doing culverts and slopes and margins on the Normanton-Karumba Rd in 1975. He purchased a C1800 Acco 8x4 with a 345 petrol V8 and 5x3 transmission and set it up with an agitator and 1000 gallon water tank. Batching was straight out of the loader bucket and bags of cement.

This photo is pouring a toe wall on the Bynoe river causeway on the top road to Burketown in late 1975. The guys in the water are my older brother and I and a young bloke named Darrel Casey. If you tried that today you would probably end up an assortment of teeth and fingernails in a steaming crocodile turd!

He worked on various road projects around North Queensland and when the work ran out moved back to Townsville and got a contract with the IWS (irrigation and water supply) with a concrete truck on the construction of Clare weir in the Burdekin. He had sold the old trucks and agis and set up another C1800 Acco with a brand new Rheem agitator to handle this contract.
