Sounds like your brakes are right after all the work.
When new they would put you through the windscreen if not
used to power assist setups and stood on the pedal too quick.

Only Inter I ever drove with brakes would "put ya thru the windscreen" was the 1100 with four wheel discs...they did have powerful brakes.......I remember years ago,when the first roller brake testers were installed at the Machinery inspection in Qld,there was a guy waiting before me with a bogey drive Acco,with hydraulic brakes.....he says he was worried the brakes were so good the rollers might strip the treads off the tyres........he failed ,brakes were under 30%....
