What changed on the C1600?

Hi all

Looking at buying another c1600 as spares. Make it easier with restoration if I can retire bits and then replace rather than take off restore replace. My question is does anyone know what things changed over time on the c1600. Will all the body panels and doors interchange between any c1600? Things like dash etc?

Thanks
Aaron

I’m pretty sure you will probably have thought about it , try and get as close as you can with build date as close to your s so you won’t be pulling your hair out..

Hadn’t thought of that! I’ll keep that in mind.

From memory bugger all changed on the C-line over its production run (roughly '66 to '72)
A few mechanical bits did change on the little ones (1100, 1200), nothing on the body / interior / electrical that I can think of.
IH seems to have stopped building their own diffs during the C-line.

only big difference was the gearbox changed over to the T17 ,and the bigger two piece housing ,which also suits perks and v 8s.

That’s awesome. Mainly the body I am interested in. Keep my running gear. Means I can grab another when I see one and don’t have to be too concerned. Many thanks.
