That's a pretty sharp angle on the beaver tail will it cause any problems?

Not with the military vehicles. the FIAT Spider might struggle.

Being delivered tomorrow so I will be able to work out a system for lower vehicles.

The body arrived and looks in good nick - straight with only surface rust.

Undressed the poodle which will be painted before being dressed in new clothes. Like a good Queenslander going for maroon, the same colour as the front wheel (Holden Venetian Red).

I now have a major problem.

The flat section of the tray is 800 mm too short for the chassis. I stuffed up by having the cook hold the tape while I measured.

She now thinks I am a bloody idiot for wasting money on a tray too short. Should I let this just be another black jellybean in our marital lolly jar or tell her I have my eye on a Hiab crane to fill the gap between the headboard and the cab. I think the idiot plan is the best as the crane is some way off and crane vs new curtains budget debate can be postponed as long as possible.

A lot of hiab style cranes are pretty cheap now, or at least pretty cheap in my eyes

A couple of grand will get something pretty flash and if you hunt hard enough a grand will get you plenty of reach

Would she fancy a sleeper cab squeezed in for her comfort and rest, at least you could tell her that was your plan.

I did mention that and she rolled her eyes because we have friends in the Qld truck club with a 30inch sleeper box and although they are not big people they manage to sleep in it. If they were 25 you would think not too bad but for a couple in their 60's??? We have other friends with a similar box but have put in double bunks on drawers like you see holding bodies in the morgue.

Anything less than 6 foot wide would be ill-received.

Put a Big Lockable Storage Box There... & Once the new curtains arrive, put your Hiab there..
