When following ANY topic, (or subject), how do you go about finding the DATE of when the original article was lodged?

The old Deutz photos led me to the first of Kel Deutz's photos of the ex-Ansett rebuild.

Remembered those trucks climbing up and down the old Razorback when I first got interested in them (trucks).

Not trying to hijack the posts, but just how do you date a particular items submission?

On some really early posts, they don't sometimes even have a credited contributor which makes it difficult to trace the date of origin.
Thanks, Dave_64

Paul

Are there any photos of those Deutz with the VW beetle type noses. In my vague memory I seem to remember them in Ansett colours but may be wrong.

Maybe Swishman

Maybe not lol, they was chasing fast trips with fully loaded trailers and the answer they got changed trucking in Australia for ever

Whether you love or hate the screaming GM the 8V71 in the S model Kenworth was a game changer
Im guessing it was like the B model Back and the Thermodyne and when they cut trip times in half
I reckon the 8V71 and KW had a result along those lines

The big deal was in the depot by 6PM,delivered interstate by 6AM,and door to door by 8AM next morning.....overnight .......something seems to have happened since 1970,now it takes 3 days for interstate delivery,if you re lucky............Then there was all the claims of "airfreight" that never got above 3000 ft.,and the media fuss about trucks doing 80 mph. on interstate.

LANG, I just post the pic's Overlander forwards.
He may have some of the model you asked for.
Thanks SWISHY and XPANNERMAN for their pic's.
Heard them called "V8 Volkswagons" and also
"V8 Harley Davidsons" over the years.
