Crossley bus. was created by V8Ian
Crossley was a manufacturer of commercial, private and military vehicles. During WW II they produced only military vehicles. Post war they ceased car manufacture, concentrating on military vehicles, but still producing other trucks and buses. Crossley was taken over by AEC in the early 50's, with the name retired in 1958.
Can anyone enlighten me as to were any Crossley busses imported into this country and specifically, does anyone have knowledge of a forward control, Crossley bus being converted to a rail motor and operated near Townsville?
My research suggests that QR had a definite preference for AEC, since prior to WW II.

I think Swanny's picture is of the American Crosley.. Only 1 S in the name.. Built in Richmond Indiana.. Not sure if he built cars before WW 2?? He also built refrigerators and appliances.. Post war he built very small economy cars and pick up trucks with a 4 cylinder, welded together block, that could be lifted out by one man..
