It appears to be a sliding A trailer.  (sliding tri)

Quite a clever idea to utilise the tri to carry the excavator, as it is most likely too wide to fit inside the tub.  Also not as high/steep to climb on ramps.

I've seen a couple of these around. I may be wrong but I think one of them is a drawbar trailer with one axle at the front and a tri at the rear.
I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,

Now I find I can't do any work in this position!
