Somewhere stashed away I have my late Father's "Wonders of World Engineering" magazines. They were a series of about 60 magazines that covered 1930's and earlier engineering. They also produced Aviation and Naval books.
A few of the Engineering mags featured the pipelines being built with photos of the machinery used.
This vid brought back memories. I must look for the books.
