I wonder what ever happened to it.

Probably cut down with a home made tray and eventually abandoned under a tree. Very sad.

I really reckon these are a cool jigger
I reckon these would be fantastic for a big family picnic or holiday, load all the kids and grand kids in and have gentle paced old fashioned family fun times type of adventure

Stand to be corrected but I think the multiple doors made it (in Aussie/yank terminology) a parlor car.

I suppose first class got to sit in the covered back seat while the other passengers were issued with complimentary umbrellas.

They'd certainly prevent battles, over who sat next to the window.

A few more. First one in England, second in Italy and last 3 Australia.

As you can see in most of the photos above, many of them had a folding roof that covered all rows of seats, as did open cars, called Tourers (Four doors) or Roadsters (two doors) in Australia and I believe, Touring Cars in USA, so there was no separately covered back seat.

From what I remember reading, Parlour Cars had a fixed roof like a sedan.

In about 1975, Russel Mee, brother of the man who ran Mee's Bus Lines, built up a Charabanc on a 1920's Rugby (I think) truck chassis.

I have my shoulder to the wheel,
    my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
    I'm gritting my teeth,

Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

Admire the skills of the body builders to match up the curved sides and doors with the cowl and bonnet of the front.
