Is the top one a Ford Thornton?

I think that was the name of the company that had bogie drive conversions
I think they had a diff in the middle of the bogies
Dunno can't remember for sure now, probably read about it on the forum years ago

That name does ring a bell. I put up a movie of oil drilling in the Middle East in the late 40/50 period and there were a whole bunch of these Fords turned into 6x6 by Marmon Herrington if I recall correctly.
