I have seen this in many museums that rely upon volunteers. They are essential but very few are proactive. It needs a good manager or self starter amongst the group.
If they programmed one day a month to put a compressor in the back of a ute and drive around pumping up tyres they would not only make the displays look better but save the tyres as static displays for twenty years. Once they are on their rims the vehicles look derelict.

Having lived through a pandemic I now understand all the painting of fat people on couches!

I have been there a couple of times over the years - most recently 2009.
At one stage it was really one person's private collection - does anyone know if it still is or if it was donated to the local community like Pearns Steam World and Wood Brothers museums have been, They both started as large collections by brothers
