Not much to say here, the video does the talking
Bobs boy, I think you had some ideas a little along these lines once
It's perfect but looks perfectly fine to me

I like it.
I fitted dozens of bullbars to those Commers when a teenager for my Dad who built Campervans.
I have a soft spot for the old Commer vans.

My in-laws' neighbour chopped the centre section out of a Commer PB 2500 and welded it into another, making a LWB camper. He also changed the engine to a 186. It needed two radiators in series.

ya hi,
"I had a dream" but eventually found ADR snuffed out all the fun from that one.
It all came to an end when I discovered I couldn't put an oldskool sun visor on an a "modern" unit - increased possable hazard to pedestrians...
Something to do with no modifications allowed that negated or interfered with an ADR fearure (air bag sensors, crumple zones, exhaust emmission (so much for my flat head hilux idea), and some other fart headed ideas that i was contemplating at the time.
Oh well.
Thanks for remembering my thoughts though, that was a long time ago now though eh?
cheers

(doing hand made paint things on a '04 Camery now, pic's to follow one day.)

Bobsboy,
I had the same dilemma when I built my pickup.
It breached so many ADR's that it ended up as an Individually Constructed Vehicle and had to pass most of the ADR's in force when I registered it.
My engineer told me it would cost $30,000 to Certify an ICV in 2025.

I was worried about being labeled a topic hijacker but with two mentions in the same thread and in full knowledge of the no no ness of even hinting at "hot rod" or "modified". Even now I am sailing soooo close to the wind...

Just for a Bit of Fun
2004 Toyota Camry Altise 6 cylender automatic sedan.
For my second, third and fourth year of ownership, red stripes, stock wheels painted black with a white rim stripe, chrome wheel nuts, chrome silasticed on wheel bearing covers (from a wrecked ute) and a painted red OEM Toyota boot lid spoiler was all I needed to zuzz up my $4000 dollar bog standard six cylender refrigerator white ex ComGov fleet car.
Pretty alright for what it is, given a bit of a black paint and chrome stripe tape treatment to the bonnet, paint in the lower bumper bar air inlet, red tape stripe and accented driving light blanking inserts, re-blacked window surrounds and two tone side mirrors.
NOW, after five years of reliable and economic ownership (surely the beast has paid for itself by now?...)
I decided this Christmas to go for the Doctor.
There is a screen saver in Windows 11 that has a photo of a two door, rear wheel drive California TRD (Toyota Racing Development) styling exercise.
Hmm, yes well maybe not all of that, but there is inspiration for me to do a few of "my own way things", sooo...
Why not?
Its my car, and it's still a $4000 shite box, (Well, okay, maybe not with that paint job.) But anyway, I still think it looks all right!
The door circle is a paid for sign shop stick on and the paint is Kill Rust Delicious Red and Rustolium Satin Black. From far enough away, it would pass for prize winning Show Quality.
After I dropped the roller in the dirt, I found the brush to be vastly superior in both quality and coverage (tip). Plus as an economic bonus found I had just enough black pinstripe from the first job to finish the second.
All in all, bloody good fun and its ADR compliant!
(a good start?)
LOL

It really shows how much a lick of paint here and there can help to hide things and also enhance things
I'm not much chop with paint, actually I'm hopeless with paint really
And yes Brian, tiz a good start
I reckon the circle needs a number
My mates AU Falcon wagon somehow got a huge dent in the RH rear quarter
Rather than try and fix it, I noticed a stick on sign "Chuck Norris was here" with a boot print
Might not be the exact words, gave me a good chuckle
