These adverts appeared in Australian newspapers . Seems that Australia and Canada were British.

At a time when patriotism was still important and the import duty on vehicles from British Commonwealth countries was also less than from others. Hence why imported Fords (right back to the T model) were manufactured in Canada, not USA, for export to Australia.

The US Chev 6 had only 3 main bearings up to 1937 ,where the Bedfords always had 4 mains from 1929 .............the GMC motors were much better than Chevs ,they had alloy pistons ,full pressure lube ,induction hardened 4 main crank ,drilled rods to lube the full floating pins, and open chamber heads with parallel valves and inserted hard metal seats.
