Unipower were builders of all wheel drive trucks. Later models used the same cab as Commer.

The blitz is a Chevrolet, and it has has a winch fairlead fitted.Some of the 3 tonners and the gun tractors normally had a central mounted winch with fairleads at each end of the chassis.
Yen's garage were Austin agents by the look of it. I wonder if the deep snow was a once a year thing, or did it dump snow like that regularly.

I think somewhere i have a DVD about moving the town.
I had come across an old guy that had been an operator on the Snowy scheme .He all so worked for Carter Brothers of Bundaberg. He had aquired Super8 movie films showing a lot of their jobs,which he had transfered to DVDs . I also have copies of them . LOL But like i said "Somewhere"
