General note . Sailing ship captian, ER, (Ned) Sterling's son Ray was the head of the Sterling Motor Company. It was a revolutionary vehicle for those times; this was the fist four-wheel-drive vehicle ever seen in Australia.

The Austral Brick Leyland is the last hurrah of the RAF type featuring shaped front guards. Hubs for pneumatic wheels were introduced as option in 1924 for the 2 tonners and later for the bigger trucks. Hard rubber was available right up to 1931 when the RAF type models were finally deleted.
Of the pair of jam Albions the closest is likely an LC24.
