GMC Caterpillar was created by Mrsmackpaul
1937 GMC with a Cat D468 diesel, circa 1939-1940. Braden-Bell (Caterpillar dealer in Walla Walla, WA). The cab has been moved back so it can fit. Photo location is Pendleton, OR.
A little more about the Cat D468
The Caterpillar D468 is a historic 6-cylinder diesel engine introduced in 1939 as Cat’s first automotive-style engine for trucks and machinery. It was a 90-horsepower, 1,800 RPM powerplant often paired with 5-speed transmissions in early Caterpillar DW10 scrapers and trucks. Production was brief, ending in 1940.
