There was a transport mob (blue & yellow colours) from Mount Barker in SA that had aCommer Knocker that did a daily run to Adelaide. As a kid I lived in Piccadilly. We could hear the Commer Knocker as it made its way up Germantown Hill heading towards Bridgewater every morning about 5:00am. This was before the big flash freeway went through. The sound was awesome. I wonder if the driver ever wore ear protection.

Nice truck Slasha. It's actually an R7 Commer with a sloper petrol six cylinder so wouldn't have been too noisy yet I'd reckon fairly thirsty. Dads first one was identical.
If I get to the Crawlin' the Hume run Slasha (and it's looking pretty likely at this stage) I think you'd better have a steer of mine for old times sake!
