Further to what has been already discussed on another topic (Cannington,PCT,CCT) I've gathered more info on the first KWs in Oz.
As we know OD&E's KW was already here a few months earlier.It was road registered in August 1962,it was not imported through the Cameron dealership and therefore received little publicity.When the seven S-models arrive through the Cameron dealership they were publicised to promote further sales.
3 were registered in October 1962,3 were registered in November 1962 and 1 in December 1962.Regos were- Blomfield's IS-2365, IS-2366 & IS-2503.Cameron's IS-2464,IS-2481,?????? & the demonstrator IS-2696.
Detective do you know the missing rego????
Going by the rego plates I'm asuming the earlier numbers were registered first, if they were all issued at the same location???? Cheers James.

g'day jimmy .. the somewhat earlier rego's more than likely relate to the branch they were issued from...country KW rego's (read red hill vic) had a store of plates,.. and city KW rego's (read carlton vic. head office) turned them over more frequently.. so a mis-match of their consecutive order is not a real problem..or when they were noted at head office for a set particular month..
...it really is all in the interpretation ...cheers

g'day jimmy and all .. on the 76632 partial sheet says gunite 6 spoke whereas they were in fact dayton 5 spoke ....(just for interested types) ;
and also the first of the firsts just gets murkier when you have to consider these fabulous old wreckers ..(M1A1 military spec i believe)..some had crown, but most had flat fenders...cheers
