I'd definately say its getting winched on... This truck arrived in Australia fully equipped and ready to go straight to work. The bed was manufactured and fitted by Clough in the US,and came complete with a 50 Tonne Braden winch, gin poles, fifth wheel and also chains, blocks, binders, ect.A typical rig truck style bed it has a roller on the back to skid the equipment and gear on and off the truck causing minimual damage.

Just wondering if there are any guys out there who operated these rig trucks in the exploration game back in those days??? maybe a few stories to be told...
Before I start posting info up on the first 7 S-models,I thought I'd finish off with the specs of the 548. Cummins NH-220,Spicer 8241-C (4 speed main) & Spicer 8341-C (4 speed auxilary),Shuler FE-18 (18,000lb) front axle & Rockwell SFDD (56,000lb) rears @ 10.16. Cheers James.

That is a good question Swishy.... I'd say they have a forward facing gear lever rather then a remote similar to a COE.
This is a ad GM diesel ran when the first S-model arrived here. Only I reckon the S-model pictured has a Cummins not a GM.... Cheers James.

I don't think so...... (the gear lever that is) LOL
Notice the clutch pedal goes down straight through the toe board not on a pengelin like most of the S-models we got here.Only the first 7 had this type clutch pedal, another piece of use-less information. Also that is a passengers seat they're using as a driver's seat.
