Paper trucks? You mean those blue Pronto ones? Never could catch one.
Another one I could never catch but often said g'day to till he shot through in seconds was that "F" truck that used to do the Bank run out through Temora & beyond. Had westcoasters & a heap of cab lights on it ...........

Back when I was young, and the hume was narrow, them dodge's was the quickest of trucks! And they only went as far as the border!!

the UDs that replaced the dodges went dam quick as well .. my old AT4 topped out at close to 85mph (130kmh) with just a warm 318 ..with no alterations to the gearing etc ...they were a quick truck from the factory if geared correctly

I drove a 3 tonner in the Isa in 62 and that thing would do 95MPH, a very quick truck. Mind you there was only 18 miles of good road outa the Isa that you could wind 'er up on, but it was fun.
