Now far be it for me to cause trouble and start the whole green noisy thing discussion, but this is music isn't it?
What did we have in Oz to equal this in 1955!!!!!

g'day Tired .. we didn't have anything like this in 1955, but the Cummins music started playing out here from 1963

...the reason they have that lovely pulse is because of the short route exhaust up the RH back of the cab ...keeping the noise away from the driver in the USA ..but right in the drivers ear of an Aussie import.... more so with a slim cab...

....the Aussie Peterbilts and earlier Kenworths had this peculiar feature and you could pick the note from miles away....(although their Williams brake didn't sound too hot) and was even more pronounced on a 250 natural with plenty on and plenty going on....
