Vale David Syme, Wouldyou was created by Gryphon
The family of Wouldyou, David Syme, has asked that we make his friends on this Forum aware of his passing.
Here is list of post made by David over the past year, www.hcvc.com.au/forum/search?searchuser=wouldyou&childforums=1
I am not a member of HCVCA but my father David Syme ("Wouldyou" on the forum) was, sadly Dad passed away suddenly on the 7th of December, he was a regular contributor to the forum and an avid follower of it, he obtained a great deal of information about his hobby and a fair bit of enjoyment from the friendly interactions that he had through the forum.

I wish to offer my sincere condolences to David's family, and friends.
David's contributions to this forum were always factual and honest, and i am sure the forum as a whole has gained far more from his participation here, than he ever gained from any single one of us. And so i feel we all share equally in the loss of his passing.
RIP David.

Thanks to Davids Family, for taking the time to let us know, he was a valued contributor. We are probably losing a few members that just stop posting the same way, and we never know.
My dad was a truckie, a farmer and an undertaker all my life and I most likely have an odd view of things, but I think this gives more meaning to what we have in this little corner of the internet.
Rest in peace David

77louie400: your viewpoint is no doubt similar to many of us out in the ether-world, and from my thoughts I have often considered a person only exists as long as some memory of them is maintained by somebody (anybody, even as much as someone who saw you walking past one day). The way I often explain my viewpoint to people is to imagine the man standing second from the left in the front line before going into battle at the Battle of Waterloo . . . who was he? No doubt the guy standing either side of him knew him, and members of his family likewise, but as years go by they have all passed away and thus other than in a painting or historical records he ceases to exist!? Warped point of view maybe?
That being said, I do not want to upset the comments expressed thus far which I totally agree with . . . R.I.P. Wouldyou, and my condolences to the family also.
