Great news. The club is supporting the venture and the big shed (50,000m2) is booked. Lighting means that the tall stories don't stop when the sun goes down.
Flyer displayed below.
Folks can either go straight to the venue and set up their display as a conventional show arrangement, or they can meet at pre determined locations to travel in a loose convoy for a run to the show.
Setting up is on Friday, but early arrivals and late departures can use the camping facilities at the adjacent Showgrounds. They charge $22 powered and $12 unpowered per site per day.
To garantee a spot in the shed you will need to pre-book, but you can still just turn up on the day and take a spot on the rally field.
Likewise you will need to book dinner.
All details and booking to commence 1st July.

I borrowed Cam's calculator and the area is more like 5,000 sq m. Still a FBS. The committee organising things is warming up to the challenge and it is looking good. Already we have some important traders booking space. Aussie Ed will be bringing his stock of lenses (unobtainable from any where else) and and his other nos which has yet to see the light of day, and Fleet Parts from Toowoomba will be there to look after the Inter and Dodge fans.

Here is the new colour flyer. All the planning is proceeding very well and feedback from folk at the Rocklea show is that there will be a convoy heading down from Brisbane as well as the north coast. One of our sponsors has set up a page for us so updates will go on that.
Trader registration is available now but we will hold on until July for exhibitor registrations and dinner bookings. (see web site www.truckandautoparts.com )

We now have a sponsoship deal going with local towies to give peace of mind to those who may feel a little faint hearted about being so far away from home. So, between the three operators ( Glen Innes 24 Hour Diesel; New England Towing (Armidale); Dunn's Recovery Service (Moonbi) there will be 300 kms of New England Highway covered by a FREE RECOVERY SERVICE to entrants who have pre-booked.
No jokes about being light headed due to the altitude please, although there is now talk of the Uralla Brewery setting up a beer tent so might be able to treat that as well.

Organisation of the show is coming along quite nicely and we are sending out exhibitor packs to those who have registered their exhibit.
Some updates: an organised run will be made up the Devils Pinch to Black Mountain road house on Friday arvo or early Saturday morning (depending how many want to do either run). The owner of the roadhouse is supportive and will have an urn and snack laid on with shelter in front of the motel. An interesting development is that I have located photos (Ric & Shirley Browne collection) of the roadhouse from the early 60's and one of the pics is of an Aboods Thornycroft. That very same truck is registered to come to the show.
Souvenir caps will be available by order for around $15.
A courtesy bus will be doing a run round town morning and afternoon to pickup and collect people from their motel.
