Speedster rally

This event took place last weekend in San Francisco,. Around 30 old time speedsters do a 150 mile run into the hills and back along the coast. The guy in the yellow no.4 is 85 and he and his wife  have driven the car across to the East coast to compete , his wife is wearing the outfit in the background.

I am very pleased to hear that some people in USA are prepared to drive their old cars.
Whan I was in my 30's I corresponded with a man in Virginia who proudly told me that he trailered his 1928 Chevrolet to a display in a town ten miles away. He had not considered driving it that far.

Here are my 3 T's over the years. Bev was not nearly as old as that American lady who undertook the cross country drive.

 

My informant, a life long resident of S.F. , said the number of participants this year was down on the usual attendance, which is around 50 cars.  I'm not sure about some of the brands , the red one for example.
