Keen eye Paul.
Yes there were 2 of these made in Buladelah just south of Taree. The name escapes me but Oliver will know. First one was bigger than this. They were designed n built for land clearing initally. First of their type built in the world. European company heard of it came n looked at them then built own.
Names just came to me Big Hoot n Little Hoot. Transmissions were supplied by non other than David Brown of Huddlesfield. Yorkshire. UK.

There were 3 built, Little Toot (the one pictured) owned by  Geoff Warwick of Wauchope, Middle Toot ? (I think) which has not been found and Big Toot  which was found in Western Australia  by and is currently owned and being restored by  Tom ( Horwood I think) of Rural Wrecking Inverell.  I have a photo of Big Toot at the Rusty Iron Rally but can't find it. All were built from other machines. There is a story that Americans came to see Big Toot to  see how the designers  had managed to articulate it as they were only making 4 wheel drive 4 wheel steering tractors, I don't know if this is fact or fiction. These tractors were built and used for follow up to a Cat D9 clearing vast areas of land where they were used to disc harrow and then sow the cultivated clearing. If you travel along the Pacific Highway between Nerong and Tea Gardens you will see some the thousands of acres they were used to turn the bush into improved pasture

You can't have too many toys!
