This lovely old bloke is what this run is all about. His name is Bob Speechley and he came up to the Haulin the Hume run last year. Started his driving career with Antil Ranger and drove a knocker like mine for some years and was fairly taken with mine. I took him for a run around Albury on the Sunday morning (much to his delight) and when he said that they used to be louder I told him that he'd forgotten his hearing aids ;)

Old Bob celebrated 60 years marriage last week and is a true gentleman. And my highlight? Bob won an award with Antil ranger for safe driving and apart from the 2 pound pay rise per week, he was given a pin badge to wear on his tie. He presented it to me on the Saturday night so that he wouldn't be forgotten :'( :'(. To say that I was touched is an understatement.

A few more random shots...........

Hayseed

That scruffy looking bloke must have really had a thing for the little Model T here he is at the start nearly running into the back of him as he swung the trannies wheel hard to the right.

Bruce some great pictures and the story of the old bloke was fantastic.

Anyone get a picture of the people sitting on the lounge suit at the turn of to Barnawartha, i think they were having a great day.
