Important indeed
the spread twaz jist the right gap/time for the leadin axle to turn the nails up
the sweepers nok m down
they do work
probly not important now as more traffic tend to flik the nails off to the side of the rd
eye use 2 drag a tri axle float around with only a 40 inch axle centers (normally 48 inches)
every night eye twaz fix n tyres until I fitted a set of sweepers
spose u could also call it bad drive n
should drive around the nails on the rd

Hi Trevor, still room but not for long. We are just over 200 paid entries and will be full long before the cut off. Hope you can come up.
And Knighty, love it! I sure hope that you own that spread and it will find its way behind your T for the next Haulin
Just a short update, took a run down South to visit a few Councils and sort the venue in Yass for the Soldiers Club. The reception was great especially in Gunning where we will definately be doing a lunch stop and small display. Dinner will be a bit different next year with finger food so that we can avoid setting up tables and chairs and therefore fit more people in. We were limited with 230 at the dinner last year but by doing this we can double that figure which is good considering we have over 300 for the meal so far. There will be 20 or so tables for the older entrants and also enough chairs to go around along with people serving us. Looks as though Jimbo may have gotten his wish also :

The guys helping me with this have been awesome, no way I could do this without them especially Brad & Linda receiving all of the entries and posting the receipts and meal tickets back, also Darrell and Ron fielding the phone calls. Also a special mention to Bernie Boyce from Gunning who has been instrumental in getting the DA across the line for the lunch stop.
Thanks to everyone who has entered so far as its all of you who will make it something special so keep those entries coming in.

Hi all,
Let me know if there is anything that I can do for you here in Yass,
Also a lot of locals have mentioned it would be good if the trucks could parade through the town before parking up? quite a few of us camped on the side of the road over the bridge missed the action as everyone parked up as soon as the come into town.
Cheers
Dave

Thanks Dave, when I came down last Friday I was looking at a way we could do some sort of parade as had been requested by Yass Council but unfortunately the requirememnt of having to construct a traffic management plan, submit a DA, find who can do traffic control and inform the locals that there will be around 150 plus trucks parking in their street on a Sunday morning early for a parade was all in the too hard basket.
I can jump through hoops but not ones that high. >
We will be meeting as a group (well most of us at least) on the Sunday morning at the Caltex service centre on the southern side of town on the freeway as per last year. The management there welcomed us with open arms even though we gridlocked it so that would be the best point for a Kodak moment.
Please all keep in mind that the dinner will be a closed door event due to fire restrictions etc and patrons will only be able to come if they are wearing a Meal wrist band.
Accomodation wise, Stockman is full, Hamilton Hume is half full and $$Thunderbird
is half full but there is plenty of accomodation at all of the other Motels but I wouldn't leave it too long.
If you are planning to camp/park at the Showground with the Clippers it MUST be organised prior with the Yass Showground Society.........good luck with that one.......
I am also in the throws of organising a bus/coach that will take people from Casula to Yass and back so that they can attend the dinner but don't have a truck to drive and would like to see the run being chauffered. A very good mate has kindly offered to take one of his busses on the run, probably be $25 per head return to cover his fuel but we need minimum 30 people.
Please PM me or call me on 0424 172 877 if you have any interest in this, we thought it was worth trying for the older folk
