Hi all , i am back online, as Chocs said thanks to everyone who helped and everyone for turning up with or without a truck,we had a great weekend not because of all the trucks there but all my mates that made Clarendon a special place for me for two days it was a dream come true. A big pat on the back to Steve Brown and Steve Muscat who worked flat out all weekend making sure it was a great show they had empty tanks on Sunday night, Steve M did an interview for Classic Resto's you will see how drained he was . Next year we will have a bit more time to plan, again thanks to everyone see you at Sandown Chappo

Clarenon was a fantastic weekend for trucks and drivers/owners and ex both. Steve Muscat was tireless in his work on the event again as was Kev Bartolo and Chappo, many others also worked their buts off. Still buzzin' day's later, and inspired to get my old relics back on the blacktop where they belong, thanks Chappo.

Here's a few more.............
Nice Aerodyne was originally owned by well known Sydneysider Max Keough
Remember Fluid Freight???
This pretty SAR is owned by Parklea Sand and Soil and runs around Sydney as a truck & dog. Their whole fleet is painted like this and from memory this truck started life as a Shell tanker and was Detroit powered. I know the boys there and helped them out for a week or so some years back when they were short, they put me behind the wheel of this truck. It's a 75 model and near as tight as a 409. I love it

Snow owns this cabover that he bought at six months old. He spent the first 10 years running across the paddock with it and runs Adelaide regularly. Plans to retire himself and the truck in a couple of years and seen as it's never had a paint job, plans a full restoration on it. It's covered over 5 million km's!
Dennis Brooks' immaculate B model
S20 Foden is Rolls Royce powered with a 12 speed epicyclic box. Was originally red with a cream insert and powder blue striping and subbied to Eastoe's. Was then painted blue and put into a shed for around 30 years. It's a really unique truck
Dave West's 40 Diamond T
4/53T, 9 speed RR
An old boss of mine owns this 79 model 8/92 K125. When I worked for him I was told by a mate that he had seen it when it was brand new and his father had stopped the car to speak to the owner. His name was David Mitchell and his parents owned Mitchell Masonry north of Sydney. That was enough for me, after a few hours I had David on the phone and was getting the story. He was a yankee truck fan and he ordered the truck from KW as is - budd rims, four horns with chrome covers, forward air cleaners and torsion bar with a 15 speed. It now has an 18 speed and is on airbag but the chrome bronco's on the corners of the cab along with the sandblasted design in the door windows are as he left it. The paint and all is original. Hopefully this truck will get restored to its former glory soon
One of Col Taylor's monsters
Organiser Steve Brown owns this 950
The legendary Sunny Warby's one owner B61 he bought in 1965
Ex Truckin' Life feature truck and jigsaw giveaway, this is Barry Chadwick's Peterbilt that used to be registered MCS-202 and pulled a tanker all over NSW. A lot of older guys will remember it with a powder tanker and a polished bonnet when it was owned by Val Stevenson and he towed for Australian Cement. Barry made a great commitment by bringing this Pete back to its original status
Laurie Lowe's White Western Star
That's all I've got, thanks again to everyone who came and made the show what it was

Thanks Noel, you're right about Carl. A lot of history there and as you said, great to talk to. I suppose it gets to a point that we'll all have to hang up the keys eventually but at least it was his choice to do it.
And more importantly, he didn't dream of reliving the past, he actually got to restore one and do it. Plenty of older fella's only wish they could.
BTW, great effort bringing your S model along, sorry we didn't meet up

Great pics there Cunning... Regarding Mathew Pace's COE,I'm pretty sure it was a K124CR and had DT480 rears on 6 rod before Mathew put the airglide under it.I always thought Mitchell's were from Newcastle and may have had it on coal, but my thoughts may have been wrong.... Also your correct about Parklea's fleet,Mick,Ray and all the guys there run an immaculate show right down to their little tippers as well. The SAR was ex shell and had a 8V71T before it was replaced with a Cummins 400 (hope Newto aint reading this LOL).It featured in Truckin Life' 1992 (August I think).
Now its time to push my own barrow... I haven't noticed any pics of my K121 yet,so here it is... ex Eastoe's 6I71 GM. Cheers James.
ps. Did I mention I got to meet Ed Cameron!!!!!
