The Clarendon Classic was great last year with old stationary engines, tractors, classic vehicles and the 50th Anniversary for Kenworth Trucks at the Hawkesbury Showground near Richmond NSW.

This year the focus is any Mack trucks for their 50th, as well as David Brown tractors and Austral engines. A vehicle trek is on the Sunday morning. You can start planning to bring your engines and if you want to know more about bringing Macks or engines you can contact the Major Events Co-ordinator Steve Muscat on (0418) 453 203, or via the website: www.sydneyantiquemachineryclub.com

There is limited site space for vans onsite to stay but there are some. The Rally is run by the Sydney Antique Machinery Club Inc. and seems to be getting better every year. We even had Fletch's Classic Restos come to do a TV show. Flyer below: See you there in September. Regards, Stephen

Just an update. If you are not displaying your antique machinery or vehicle but come just to see the displays, (as any member of the public is welcome to do) the entry price is a mere $7 for adults and only $3 for kids.

Hi Steve,i might have to rally a few of my mates and stick a few Kenworths around those Macks and it would be nice to see a few Peterbilts there too for there 50th as well .Clarendon is a great place for a truck show because there is so much to look at with the cars ,tractors/tractor pull, and old stationary engines, hope Steve M brings his 12v71 again ,every time he had that at full noise the people came running i might even bring my 3408 Cat and try and give him a run for his money ,great show great people well run two day show can't wait

Definately a good show to bring the big engines for a run so be good if the Cat 3408 came. Steve's is a V16 that usee to power a compressor and with 2 short open pipes I agree there is not anywhere in the Show that would not hear it. Hopefully i wil have the V8 air cooled Deutz Diesel generator running by then as well. Don't you have a Mack hiding out amongst your Kenworth collection.
Hope you guys can bring enough David Brown tractors to make a scene as well. Stephen

Great to see Donaldson at the show, from the number of calls i have been getting it looks like the show is going to be huge ,keep an eye on resto chat Gleeman truck parts are going to do a full resto on a V8 Superliner as a lead up to the show and have it on there stand for all to see. If you have a Mack make sure you don't miss this show , all vintage trucks are welcome ,it would be good to see a few Petes for there birthday as well, they are thin on the ground around Sydney.
Thanks Chappo

...just dig up all the old (and not so old) Peterbilts you can for what is still the 50 year anniversary of the Peterbilts in Australia....

....along with all the Macks (another favourite of Laurie's) ..this is bound to be a cracker of an event :) :) :)

An update on the Sept 14 & 15 Clarendon Classic. Mack's 50th is sounding like a huge turnout, but Peterbuilts for their 50th have also been acknowledged by the Committee as welcome to turn up and celebrate, as well as Volvo (as the Mack brand is now Volvo Mack I am told).

There is a registration about to be available on the website by the end of next week which is important not only to plan the space for what looks like the biggest turnout ever along with all the stationary engines including Austral engines & David Brown tractors which are a featured make this year?, but also because if you want to get the spit roast dinner on the Saturday night you will need to pre-pay the $20 for it when you send your rego form in, along with anyone wanting onsite camping.

It is a great event and there will security offered overnight on the Friday night (for those arriving anytime Friday) as well as the regular security on the Saturday night. Start planning now. I will update again when the registration for is up on the website for the Sydney Antique Machinery Club.
See you there, Stephen

Kind Regards

Hi all,
This is the ad which will appear in the Vintage trucks and Commercials magazine when it comes out in July.
That registration form will be important to complete and send in, as we need to plan the space to fit in the large number of exhibits and trucks. for this reason, please complete and send it in even if you don't need to buy a Saturday dinner ticket or book for camping spots.
