Place photos directly into your post.

Hi,

for the two image comparison that Billy P uploaded I will have to look at the settings again as the Forum made the image thinner, only 360px wide compared to the 450px wide Pbucket made the same image which may account for the comment about the Pbucket image being slightly clearer. Otherwise filesize is almost the same so not much between the two.

Anyone having trouble uploading photos ?
.I got photos up yesterday .Went to do the next post ,clicked on post it shows the percentage of the photos uploading , then screen goes to the main forum page . and the post is not there .
Have tried a couple of times and it does the same thing .

If you are still having problems, email your photos that you are trying to upload to forum@hcvc.com.au and I will have a look at them and see if I can work out which one is causing the issue and why.

Ian, while Terry does his magic, stuff, try re-sizing the photos, from my camera they are so huge I get booted out too, just use the back button on the computer screen it will put you back to where you were before you pressed post.

Terry groaned when I told him I use microsoft office to resize my photos but it works for me.... I reduce them by 50% then by 50% again, I tried doing 75% but that didnt work... anyway, the resized photo comes out full size like I want and I can post them 5 to a page.....

Terry will probably tell you and me what the maximum size for each photo can be.

Yep , Size of Photo, and number of them is the problem. As Sarge said , times out .
Cheated slightly , put 3 up .Posted the hit edit and added them one at a time .

The limit is 3MB per post. & not per Image..

I still use Flickr, have no hassel there, resizeing photo's too 3MB per post is mumbo dumbo to me, just wack them on Flickr and I can put 7 on each post in quarter of the time as it takes me to do it straight of the computer[ thats when I can get that to work]
