A little Green Padlock for the Forum

Hi,

I have made a small'ish change to the Forum this morning to improve the security of your Userid and Passwords and the bit you will see is there is now a little Green Padlock in the URL line of your Browser and the http:// is replaced with HTTPS:// . The important bit is that it is a little harder for someone to steal your userid, password or email address which might seem strange why anyone would, but stolen credentials are worth money to the naughty side of the Internet.

You don't have to change bookmarks or anything if you don't wont to as you will be redirected, but it might be just a bit slower( second or so) to connect initially.

On some pages you will see the green padlock changes to a small yellow triangle or some other icon depending on your Browser with maybe a message about being an insecure page. This is nothing to worry about, it just means that there are some images on the page that are stored elsewhere like Phtobucket or Flickr etc. and not coming from hcvc.com.au

Regards,
Terry

Hi,

If I didn't do it Google was going to start scaring the members who use the Chrome browser and the others will follow eventually.
