Much earlier in the thread, there was a request for a photo of a Victorian Railways tripod derrick crane.
Here is a different style, with much greater capacity and convenience. I don't know how many stations got them.
I suspect that the photo appeared because it had only just been installed.

I remember the govt auction selling acquarium cab austins with scissor lift plane loaders like that.One was parked up at the Salvos at Underwood for ages a couple of years ago/more like twenty,I suppose.
