I was reminded of a line from the classic early 1960s jazz anthem 'Sweet Patootie': 'Some like em black, some like em brown, they all look the same when they're upside down'.
Have the classic Aussie version, Frank Traynor:
<;, although this verse isn't in this version, but there are lots of other versions on youtube.

830825Th Kaiser-Wilhelm-Ring, Mainz (Germany). Taxi. (R Smith collection)
This is a crop from a tram photo, part of a great collection gifted to me by an HCVC member.
At 1983, it almost counts as historic, but 32 years is not quite 35 years ago. I can't pick the make or model with that bland styling. The resemblance to a Ford Falcon is strong. Could it be a Ford Taunus?

I'm on a Cuba kick this week, triggered by a thread on Cuba trucks. It is easy to focus on 1950s 'yank tanks' when in Cuba, but there are also modern vehicles. I'm placing the taxi ones here; the horse ones with horses; and truck & bus ones with the trigger thread. Here are the first three.

100301M La Habana, Cuba. Horse taxi, motor taxi. R Smith. It looks like a Fiat 500, but could be a larger model, and could be from one of the licenced makers (eg Seat). I wonder how many it holds?

I can't identify that early 1950s car; the yellow plate indicates private ownership.
