I'd rather have tools that I don't need, than not have the tools I do need.

IIRC those HZ's were 253 and 3 speed on the column.

Southbound you do remember right..... we used to flog the three big brands on a quite night along the freeway or merri creek or somewhere, and they always came in 4.0 4.2 and 4.3.... no matter what we did. (unless some dickhead put one in the drain) and there was not much between them in any case. All 3 on the tree, no radio, nothing extra or special. The 253 was great for doing whammys down Sydney road at 4 am.

Wow Sarge, you'd get locked up for driving like that these days, but you probably already knew that! LOL

I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,
Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

Is someone hinting that the Boys in Blue are not/were not always squeaky clean,
or is/was it a case of "do as I say, not as I do"

not sure there were any restrictions along the merri creek next to the freeway, apart from remembering where the strip gutters were (about 18 inches wide and 3 feet deep), ohhh and let the Sergeant win of course.

The night that a copper in his LJ GTR-XU1 got beat by one of the oys at Brickies in Homebush was the night before it got raided on a regular basis and if you car was good they still defected you.
