Reminds me of many moons ago carting Bowater paper products to Sydney. V/8 petrol Inter maybe ABD180??
Climbed the razorback. Truck got tired and fell over for a rest!! Along came Mr Plod from Picton I think in a Ford F100 brawler wagon with a tent like on the back. He threw the book at me!! Dangerous driving. Speeding. Logbook. Insecure load etc!! He saw the load spewed out down the side of the road and said can I have some?? I said go for your life! Toilet paper, lunch wrap and tissues. The greedy sod filled the back of the ute and filled the passenger seat as well. He drove of. Never heard another word about my misdemeaners since. With a V/8 petrol single drive and bogie trailer petrol must have been cheap!!

I used to drive an Acco 510A around Sydney. It near used a tank of fuel to go from Liverpool to Alexandria and back with a couple of stop overs on the way. The Greenies must have loved these things.

a similar one to above about a fellow university student:

They are about as bright as a blown globe!

Having lived through a pandemic I now understand all the painting of fat people on couches!

Outside a dog, a book is a man's best friend.

Inside a dog, it is too dark to read.

This one is attributed to Groucho Marx.

I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,

Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

When my father was asked "how close is it" his standard reply was "About as close as f*** is to swearing".

MOVED FROM CAIRNS TO VICTORIA & STILL TRYING TO WORK OUT WHY

On marriage:

Marriage is a great institution,................................................ but who wants to live in an institution!

Marriage is like a game of poker: Starts out with two hearts and a diamond..........................................ends up looking for a Club and a Spade!
